Samsung Galaxy Note 9 release date, announced; new color revealed
Following a long thread of rumors and leaks, Samsung has finally announced the release date for their premium flagship, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The new phone, aptly, will officially launch on August 9th, 2018.
Check out their announcement video.
The video itself is actually a teaser to Sammy’s upcoming UNPACKED event, which, if you look back to its previous iterations, is most likely the venue on which they announce the Galaxy Note phones. And if the above teaser should be our indication, it looks like this new one will not be different.
Perhaps the bigger takeaway from the teaser, though, is the Note 9’s color. The device seems to be covered in some sprightly hue of yellow. That color already looks good on the S-pen, as shown in the video, but how does it look on the phone itself? PhoneArena, as any enthusiast will, created renders imagining the color on the new phone.

Details about the actual phone, as of press time, are sparse. There are plenty of rumors, but they are just that—rumors. According to some, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will most likely come in a beastly 512GB storage, which should come in at least 6GB RAM capacity. We’re excited about this because that will effectively eliminate the need for an external SD card for most users.
The Exynos 9810 octa-core processor, along with the latest Snapdragon 845, is expected to arrive, as well as some due improvements to the S-pen.
