When Will I Get Android Oreo?: Samsung

by | Jan 8, 2018 | Smartphones

Android Oreo brings a host of features to be desired, chief among them are optimizations that further speeds up your phone and makes it more power-efficient. Fancier changes are also around, including a Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode that’s especially useful for apps like YouTube and Hangouts, a notification dot, and the version’s impressive AR capabilities.

You’re already enjoying these features if you own a Google-made smartphone like the Pixel 2 or a non-Google phone that supports Android Oreo out of the box. However, if you don’t have either types of phones, you might still be waiting for a software update to roll out. Luckily, if you own a Samsung smartphone (read: flagship), you’ll likely get the update early this year.

Below is a makeshift tracker of-sorts based off of trends and patterns in previous iterations of Android (via SamMobile). It’s worth noting that few of these are official, and are subject to change anytime.
