OPPO debuts sub-brand smartphone Realme 1
OPPO is at it again. Their sub-brand, dubbed Realme, has just released its first smartphone, the beastly midranger, Realme 1. With it, OPPO is directly hitting big competition such as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and ASUS Zenfone Max M1 (read our hands-on article).
The phone is now officially launched in India, where it’s expected to thrive. Its internals and features all but assures this, with a reliable MediaTek Helio P60 processor, a promising 6GB RAM/128GB internal storage combo, and a hefty 3,410mAh battery all stuffed in its beautiful exterior. Speaking of which, the phone is coated in OPPO’s Diamond Black finish, which looks stunning. The phone also comes packed with a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and an 8-megapixel camera on the front.

The Realme 1 will retail in two variants, the 3GB / 32GB model and the aforementioned 6GB / 128 GB model. Both will be available exclusively on Amazon India, with a price tag of Rs. 8,990 (~Php 6,951) and Rs. 13,990 (~Php 10,817), respectively. OPPO will also sell a 4GB / 64GB model in June.
