Paladins Strike is the Free MOBA Mobile Game You Need to Install Stat

by | Apr 30, 2018 | Gaming

Hi-Rez Studios’ “Paladins Strike” has hit both the Play and the App Store, and is now available for play on both Android and iOS devices. At the time of this writing, 500 thousand players are already on it, and for a smaller title accused of ripping off “Overwatch”, it’s doing just swell. Watch the trailer here:

“Paladins Strike” features much of the same thing as its PC counterpart, “Paladins: Heroes Of the Realm”. It thrusts the same smorgasbord of different characters into battle and follows some of the narrative threads and lore of the original PC game. The gameplay, however, is changed to suit a more “mobile” playstyle.

For instance, the controls have been reconfigured to resemble a virtual joystick, with a virtual stick placed to the bottom left and different buttons with corresponding abilities placed to the bottom right. The perspective from which the game unfolds has changed, too, favoring a more third-person view than the PC game’s first-person view. Think similar gameplay setups like Vainglory, Mobile Legends, and PUBG Mobile. Matches for “Paladins Strike” have been cut shorter, too, to suit a more mobile-friendly gameplay. Matches will run anywhere between six to ten minutes.

The rest of the game stays the same, though. The default mode is Siege, in which two teams attempt to capture the payload and push it ‘till it reaches the opponent’s home base. Similar to the PC game, teams will be comprised of five players, each contributing to the dynamic the team will play on in the entirety of the match.
