Will The MRT Be Accessible During the Holy Week?
Starting March 28th thru April 1st, the MRT3 won’t be operational. The MRT3 management is taking advantage of the Holy Week break by commencing repairs and refurbishments in some of its—ahem, barely working—trains. It’s not the most ideal solution of buying new trains, but it’s about as good a development we can get for now.
“The spare parts we need are already there. We are able to address [issues] immediately. There are no commuters who force open our doors. Hopefully, this would continue,” DoTR Secretary Arthur Tugade said in a recent interview.
Their goal is to hit 15 operational trains come April 2nd when the MRT3 becomes available again to its commuters.
