You Can Now Navigate as Mario using Google Maps

by | Mar 13, 2018 | Apps

Last Saturday was International Mario Day, and in line with, Nintendo partnered up with Google to unveil a new feature on Google Maps.

A new update to the Google Maps app turns the fever dream of an experience while stuck in traffic not so bad anymore. Users can now unlock “Mario mode”, which turns Google Maps into a Mario Kart race track, enabling you to maneuver the metro as if you’re in a Kart race.

Here’s how.

1.) Key in your destination and tap “directions”.

2.) Tap the question mark (?) box next to the start button.

3.) A pop-up will notify you that you’ll be driving as Mario. Tap “let’s a-go!”

4.) That’s it!

Mario will only be with Google Maps until March 16th, so if you want to try it out, you best get on it now. Let us know how it a-goes!
