The iOS 12 update is now in Public Beta for you to try
If you’ve been waiting for the iOS 12 update, you’ll be happy to know that the public beta is now available for everyone to download. Apple announced the update at last month’s WWDC, and now the update is already up on their website.
iOS 12 debuts new features like grouped notifications (yes!), group notifications, and the iPhone X-exclusive, Memojis. On top of that, Apple gives their users access to their phone usage analytics called Screen Time. For a complete rundown of what’s new, check this article.
Users can download the iOS 12 update and install it manually, but if you want such updates to come to your iPhone automatically, you can sign up for Apple’s Beta Software Program here. As always, backup your iPhone to make sure you got yourself covered should things—knock on wood—go south.
The full version of iOS 12 will come sometime this year, presumably close to the release of the new iPhones.
