You’ll Be Able To Play ‘My Tamagotchi Forever’ Next Year

by | Nov 24, 2017 | Uncategorized

You’re in for a dose of nostalgia. Bandai Namco has announced the release of “My Tamagotchi Forever”, an Android/iOS game based on the iconic game that existed in a petite keychain. The game is slated for a release sometime in 2018.

Tamagochis played a big role in 90’s pop culture. It’s a game that children played and parents gladly paid for because it taught invaluable lessons. The premise is simple and real-lifelike: you own a pet and you’re responsible for the cute little fluffer. If it’s hungry, you feed it. If it’s feeling lonely, you pet it. If it poops, you clean up. It brought a lot of memories including plenty from this writer’s.

In “My Tamagotchi Forever”, the premise is a bit different. You oversee a whole village of your virtual pets called Tamatown. In it, you’ll be:

  • Raising your Tamagotchi by cleaning them, feeding them and taking care of them.
  • Playing mini-games with your Tamagotchi and even meeting and making friends with other characters as you explore Tamatown together.
  • Evolution, yes my friends you can now evolve your Tamagotchi and the result will depend on how you took care of them.
  • Collecting memorable moments shared with your Tamagotchi characters and the friendly town citizens.
  • Sharing your favorite moments with your friends.
  • Tickling your Tamagotchi characters. According to Bandai Tamagotchi’s love this.
  • Earning coins by playing mini-games and leveling up!
  • Unlocking delicious food, cute costumes, and colorful items to decorate Tamatown.
  • Comparing your progression and Tamagotchi raising skills with your friends!

Though we’re still months away from the release of the game, the hype is already drumming up. There’s even a special event over at the game’s website, where users can register to win the chance of creating a brand-new Tamagotchi character.

You can download “My Tamagotchi Town” on the Play Store and the App Store sometime in 2018. We’ll put up the download link here once it becomes available.
