Xiaomi releases a 3GB RAM variant of the Xiaomi Redmi 6A

Xiaomi has followed its entry-level smartphone, the Xiaomi Redmi 6A, with a new variant that has 3GB RAM and a 36GB internal storage. The first variant that had been released had a measly 2GB/16GB configuration—something that’s hard to scoff at considering its PHP 5,000 price.

The 3GB new variant has the same features as its 2GB counterpart, including a Helio A22 CPU, a 5.45-inch HD+ display, and 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras.

The 3GB Xiaomi Redmi 6A is listed at CNY 699 (approximately PHP 5,700), which means you only have to pop in a couple of hundred pesos if you’re in the market for one.

Pricing and availability in the Philippines are yet to be announced.
