Surprise, Surprise! Zenfone 5 Looks Like an iPhone
A leaked diagram for the upcoming Zenfone 5 has been dropped, and it looks like, unsurprisingly, an iPhone. Make no mistake, this is a kind of design that sort of works. You will remember that the OnePlus 3 came in with an unassuming design but won the hearts of its consumer by redeeming itself with the experience with the phone itself.
In fact, a more surprising takeaway from this is that Asus still wants you to use microUSB cables. Which is weird, especially at this stiff and Type-C dominated type of market. Asus will likely to push a number of variants more than we need, including a Selfie and a Max and a Go—and then some more. It is said also that the phone will rock a 18:9, 5.7 inch diagonal display, dual SIM card slots, a microSD card slot and a 4000 mAh battery. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, a minimum of 3GB RAM and Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
The Zenfone 5 is set to unveil at MWC 2018 next month in Barcelona.
