Samsung Quietly Teases Galaxy X, First Smartphone with Foldable Display
Among the jewels showed off at the recently concluded 2018 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), there’s one that’s been spotted away from the eye of the crowd. That’s Samsung, who unveiled behind closed doors its tenth-gen flagship, the Samsung Galaxy X, the first smartphone to ship with a foldable display.
Industry insiders are saying it’s almost ready for production, spilling further detail about the potential showstopper flagship: apparently, Samsung will be going with an “in-folding” approach, which ensures better durability for its breathtaking 7.3” display.
Details are obviously scarce, but from everything that’s Samsung had put out, it looks like the Galaxy X will get the same attention as its iOS nemesis, the iPhone X. “Samsung attracted more clients to the private meeting compared to last year. The phone development seems to be almost finished, raising expectations for the phone launch,” said one person from the private Galaxy event.
No info has been put out yet, but if production goes smoothly, it isn’t ridiculous to hope for a release next year. Keep it with us for more reporting on the Samsung Galaxy X in the Philippines.
