You Can Now Catch Rayquaza in Pokémon Go
Been wanting to get your hands on a legendary Pokémon? Here’s your chance. Pokémon Go is debuting the legendary Pokémon Rayquaza in time for Kyogre’s exit come Valentine’s Day.
As posted on the Pokémon Go blog, Rayquaza is finally available for you to—possibly—catch. Rayquaza is a beautiful mesh of flying-electric-dragon Pokémon types and is popular because it served as the cover for the Gameboy Advance game, Pokémon Emerald. If you’ve already gotten your hands on Groudon and Kyogre, here’s your chance to complete all the Hoenn legendaries.
There are more new Pokémon to catch beyond the legendary dragon, including Salamence, Tropius, Chimeco, and more. Though we’re nearing complete the Hoenn Pokédex to move on to Sinnoh, we’ve yet to see Jirachi and Deoxys—both legendaries from the third generation of Pokémon.
We’re not losing hope though. After all, isn’t the mantra “gotta catch ‘em all?”.
