You can now play Pokémon Quest on Android and iOS

“Pokémon Quest”, the new free-to-play RPG from GAME FREAK Inc., is finally available on Android and iOS. The game officially launched last month, back in May, for the Nintendo Switch. Now, you can download it from the App Store or the Google Play Store as well.

Check out a cool little preview here:

First off, let’s talk about the aesthetic. The new game features a prominently blocky design, a big departure from the mainline games’ 8-bit style and the more refined 3D design of “Pokémon GO” and “Let’s Go!” games.

The game is set on Tumblecube Island, where you’ll embark on journeys to find its hidden treasure. You’ll have a partner Pokémon based on your preference in terms of attribute. This will play a role in the game in battling of course, which, although sparse in gameplay, looks busy and quite fun.

The Pokémon Company has three games in line so far, including the recently announced “Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu!” and “Pokémon: Let’s Go Eevee!”, and an upcoming core “Pokémon” game to be released later next year.
