Pokémon Go introduces Alolan Forms of First-Gen Pokémon in new update

Niantic has taken to the official Pokémon Go website to announce the introduction of Alolan forms of first-generation Pokémon. The new update which carries the Alolan forms “will make their way to Pokémon Go in the coming weeks.”

To the uninitiated, Alolan forms are divergent forms of a few of the O.G. Pokémon from the Kanto region. They made their debut in the Pokémon games via Pokémon Sun and Moon in the Nintendo 3DS. Now, Alolan forms will find their ways to Pokémon’s thriving mobile game.

There is a handful of Alolan Pokémon teased in Niantic’s poster image, including Alolan Diglett, Meowth, Vulpix, Exeggutor, Raichu, Rattata, and more. But there’s a whole bunch of others that aren’t included in the teaser. See the full list below via the Pokémon Sun and Moon wiki.
